Blazer was our big blonde boy. We purchased him from Trillium Kennels in Oregon. He became our first Champion, finishing with 3 majors. Blazer had the most gorgeous head piece, and was always the Gentleman. He was so silly, rolling and snorting around, making this happy chirping bark. I can still close my eyes and hear him. It brings joy to my heart. You couldn't help but love him.

He was purchased for my husband Bill to show in conformation, but between you and me, he secretly stole my heart. I miss him everyday. Thank you Rose and Rick for letting us take home this blonde bundle of happiness. I miss you Bubby.

Brandy was heaven sent to us in 1997. She was an independent soul, who had her own agenda from the start. That agenda didn't include anything she didn't want to do, and most definitely she didn't want to do Obedience work. Although she finally did get her Companion Dog title, it didn't come easily. I remember watching Bill proudly in the Obedience ring, with Brandy. Bill had Brandy heeling at his side, when the judge called a "halt". Bill stopped, and Brandy sat as his side, just as an obedient dog should.
The judge calls out a loud "forward". Bill steps off and moves forward, holding Brandy's leash proudly. After about ten steps, the judge and crowd burst into laughter.
Bill looks down....no Brandy, although he is still clutching that leash proudly! You see Brandy never moved from her sit, 10 paces back. When Bill moved, the collar silently slipped off Brandy's head, as she watched her master move forward. He was heeling with only the collar and lead. That was Brandy though.
For 12 years she blessed this household with her presence. She was loved and cherished every day she was with us, and for all the days to come she's not.
Dozer and Blazer are waiting for you Brandy, just over the bridge. We won't be there to supervise for a while, so please don't hog all the tennis balls.

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home

I got my wish and took Dozer home, August 3, 1996. He was the reason I will never have a different breed. Dozer was brilliant, eager and we were his world. Dozer and I proudly put his CD title on in 3 straight tryouts. Dozer's real buddy, and best friend however was his Madeline. They were inseparable. They are pictured below having his ninth year birthday party. Even though his birthday wasn't for another 3 months, Dozer didn't care he was being dressed up, as long as his Madeline was with him. Dozer didn't live to see his birthday. He lost his fight with Hemangiosarcoma a few days before, as so many of these marvelous dogs do.
